First off, Thanks for viewing my website. Well, ever since I was 3, I have been riding snowmobiles. My father was an Arctic Cat Dealer till 1984, when Cat Went BK. So you could say I have a little green in the veins. I really love to snowmobile, and have grown tired of waiting for the Snow to come to MI. Especially when we all pay alot for our sleds and only have 2 months or so to ride them. I can remember the good old days like 77-81 when we had 4' - 6'snow in Grand Rapids, MI.-- Man those were some good riding years. Of course early 2000-02 was pretty good too . Well in 1997, I did a brand jump and went to Ski-doo. I bought a new Mach Z800 along with 6-8 other buddies of mine. I gotta say, I was happy with my sled. So I ordered a New 2001. I like the sled, but snow cross was starting to get big, and I also did alot of motocross growing up, so this was right up my alley. I was getting ready to go racing. Well that summer, I bought a New Dirtbike to get in shape for snowcross and in May I broke my back(L1). Great, New sled on the way, and I go and do this. Well the Doctor said " You shouldn't ride dirtbikes or snowmobiles any more". Well at the time I agreed, but I had pain. 4 weeks later I could barely tell I had done it. On the 7th week, I was riding my dirtbike again, feeling it out to see if or what I was feeling. Riding was no problem, but jumping, not gonna happen. Well afterThanksgiving, All was well, and I was riding hard and feeling no pain and we get snow up in Mancelona, MI. About 14'-18" fell on that day and all my buddies headed up. Friday Morning I get a call "you gotta get up here". So I loaded my Mach Z and headed up. It was 10:00am and everyone was rollin out to go to breakfast. I quickly unloaded my sled, suited up and running on the end of the pack. A trail I had been down all of 1000 times. Well today I was riding on the ground and not packed in snow when I hit this buried gas pipeline (2'hill) going about 80mph. Next thing I know, I'm doing a back flip on my sled.(probably the first one ever done). LOL Well guess what I did? Broke my back again(L3). So I had to nurse my back again for another 2 months. Jumping ahead, 2002 we headed out to Towgotee Mountain Lodge. ( I will post some pictures of this trip). Man we had a blast, and the riding was great. This was like back in 78-81 all over again. After that, We went again in 2004, 2006, & 2008. Every year we went, we went in late April for the Jackson Hole Hillclimbs. We would ride Tuesday to Friday then go watch the hillclimbs that weekend. If you have never seen this before, You have to see them climb the hill. From the bottom, it looks like nothing to do, but you ride up the chair lift and look down, Whoa. Gotta See It! --Well After I got back, I headed out to Washington and noticed Towgotee still had good snow. I called my uncle, who lives in Colorado, and asked if he wanted to go riding. He said they had a ton of Snow still in Steamboat Springs Still. So I headed back over there and rode with him. Now this was in Late April. Came back home and had to head back to Seattle, WA again. But this time I called my uncle and he said there was still 18' in Rabbit Ears Pass. So I loaded my 120" XP800X up and went to Seattle then Down to CO. Man What a blast. Here it is the end of May and I'm riding in 18' of Snow. Now it was mostly packed, but there was all of a 20-24" covering of powder. So after that I was pumped to do more Mountain riding. This Spring I order a New Summit 800X 154" (Pictured up top left). I cannot wait to ride this thing. Well If your down this far reading, I appreciate it. I look forward to hopefully going out West riding and meeting you soon.
